Does it have the large coil or standard sized one?

Re: The RB Gold Bug Raffle.......
Not that there's anything wrong with the standard coil. I've detected cans down to 4' plus with my standard coil.

Wow, I had no idea these things would detect that far down. I hope after digging that far you found something good.Scott Rollert wrote: ↑Wed Feb 21, 2018 8:44 pm Not that there's anything wrong with the standard coil. I've detected cans down to 4' plus with my standard coil.
Focus: Cones and flats from Michigan, South Bend, and Fort Wayne. Foreign cans only if I bought them myself in the country of origin.

Lucky Lager zips from Salt Lake City.
I think this is a great idea for a raffle prize. The detector looks to be in very good condition!

Re: The RB Gold Bug Raffle.......
I would enter a raffle for some PERSONAL INSTRUCTION on how to USE my Gold Bug...lol. I have one but have no idea how to really use it. I wave it around but don't tend to find anything. Case in point: I am standing BETWEEN DaveNH and Puff Daddy(RIP) metal detecting in Maine. BOTH of them find KENT ALE's and I find nothing......

Re: The RB Gold Bug Raffle.......
I thought there was a reference section on setting up the Gold Bug but I couldn't find it. It was pretty explicit if I remember correctly. Maybe Danny knows if it is and where it is.Sea Monkey wrote: ↑Thu Feb 22, 2018 11:39 am I would enter a raffle for some PERSONAL INSTRUCTION on how to USE my Gold Bug...lol. Re: The RB Gold Bug Raffle.......
I'm not sure this is what Scott needs. Sounds like just bad luck to me. I can sympathize. I have personally never dug a bock can. I was dumping with Jomama and Chappie at Blue/Gray years ago. I was in between these guys in the dump and they each dug numerous bocks.....I never found a single one. I still have never dug a bock.renokenn wrote: ↑Thu Feb 22, 2018 1:22 pmI thought there was a reference section on setting up the Gold Bug but I couldn't find it. Yeah, Herman's a no-brainer for Hall Of Fame. He's a legend in the hobby, and for good reason.
