Love that Southern Select
Yes, me too! It was by far the most important can in the auction for me, and the price was well below my expectation. I'm glad some of Steve's other cans more than made up for it. These auctions have became a bit blasé due to their frequency, but I must admit that I'm finding little elsewhere . . . one can at Canvention, no cans at Cabin Fever, Spring Thaw or Frankenmuth (well, an Iron City retro at Spring Thaw as well as a raffle win there, a Senate Beer that I like enough to put in my "I just like it" group).

Should have been received yesterday but showed up today... in a USPS body bag, the worse train wreck of a condition package I've seen in years.
Anyhow, the Good Guys did an outstanding packing job on this $5 auction can that it literally walked away from that crushed carton without a scratch!
I was hoping for an upgrade (see can on left) but it appears to be a variation (Lilek 451 and 451A) so I get to keep both. The 0.1 can on left does have better red color, yay.

Yesterday I received a package in the mail. Yes it was on a Wednesday.
It contained an item for my collection.
@Stroh King Thanks to Pat BCCA15280, RB1231 for sending it along.
It now resides with 5 of it's brothers. And will be part of my display in Norfolk.

Picked this one up the other day. Bottom opened with a really nice Maryland Tax stamp on top! I believe it's USBCOI #194. I read the text but can't really tell the difference between the two cans pictured. Both the finishes look the same to me.

USBC-OI doesn't show the copper color very well, but your photo certainly does - it's definitely #194. Nice can!

Based on Jim Hall’s research there are at least 20 Different Stag conetops Variations that can be easily documented ... there’s probably seven or eight variations that can be called the second toughest Stag cone , but there’s no dispute which is the toughest And likely the earliest Stag beercan - it lists “Brewing” instead of “Brewery” ! , a can that I believed was unique - ... And now I got one ! ... The great crazy part about it I would’ve never got it if conehead himself didn’t send a PM to alert me of the eBay listing
... Thank you Jim !
To me it makes Goog Goog sense !

Picked this tough can at less than half the price (and in much better condition) than the same version sold for today at Dan's auction.

It has been a very fun- if not inexpensive- month or so. A few more from Dan's last auction coming (hopefully soon!)

Congratulations, that's a really nice group of cans! You got back in at a difficult time to buy very desirable or very clean cans, so it's great to see you doing both.

Nice score! Love the Cooks 500 and the Sierra. Hope to add such clean varieties to the collection one day.
I sold a Red Top light lager in similar condition a few years ago. Is yours bottom opened by chance?

Thank you! No, this Red Top isn't bottom-opened. Has a vanity lid with churchkey punctures.
