I made a "quick" solo day trip to the far eastern UP. Only 1 camp spot had cans, mixed 40s thru 50s stuff. Long story short, as I worked my way back south to the bridge I went to check up on a lead I seen from the comment section of a Facebook post (something along the lines of plenty of cans and bottles there with a map screen shot).
Sure enough, I get there and seen 3 flats laying on the ditch. As I searched the area I confirmed that there were 100s of surface cans and bottles everywhere but in poor shape. I could identify strohs and Drewrys and Pfeiffer as I want back to the car for an xL bag and my 3 prong. After a little poking around I moved a large food can that was in a smaller dip in the ground and once I did that all I heard was cans scratching together and a 1ft deep hole appeared with extremely clean teardrop pfeiffers. I started to dig and one after another they appeared and eventually gold Pfeiffer were mixed in. No other brands I could find in the hole, but the great thing is that they all have tax stamps on top. Michigan did not require Michigan brewers to put stamps on the cans so that tells me these are St Paul cans. Bingo, I need them all and the 1 I do have here at home will be upgraded for sure. As I checked the other side of the road there were more surface cans. I noticed a piece of sheet metal and went to check it in case it's a sign. I immediately see black and yellow letters. In all the years of me dumping and checking for signs it finally payed off. It's a gates tire sign and I think it's from the 40s. Horrible shape.... but I can fix it. ;)
Good thing I found the dump because I literally had 6 cans all day prior.

Here's almost everything. Minus 4 Pfeiffers with some pretty serious rust/dirt chunks on the Seams.
I still have a black label cone that's still soaking. Always wanted to find one.

Upgrades: Gold Pfeiffer. Detroit, blue famous beer version.

New cans: Best teardrop pfeiffer. All are St. Paul. I've now dumped both labels from there.
Food cans. Pepper is from Minnesota too.

This will be my last dumping trip until fall. Got alot of truck projects to do here before memorial day weekend and honestly I'm not as excited lately about dumping like I was this time last year.
I'll hopefully be turning some dirt again here come September.

Took me forever to find one. And I really didn't think it would clean up this much. Now I need to dump an upgrade.
