Mail Call: KRUEGER'S Bock Beer long opener! I always wanted one. A mint one just sold for $42K. I'm very happy with this one. At least the goat is all there. The mate to the "Baldies." It is extremely rare. eBay auctions are now the better deal... never thought I'd say that!

I wondered if we would find out where this ended up, so thanks for posting. I'm still amazed that it didn't go a lot higher than it did. I too always coveted the long opener can in particular - I've asked around a lot over the years, and this is only the 2nd dumper I've heard of. A great score at an amazing price!

I just love this can! The cool thing is I didn't spend thousands of dollars for it so I can enjoy it for what it is. If I paid $42,000 for the mint one, all I would see on the shelf would be dollar signs and what fun is that?

One of the most iconic cans in the hobby for sure.

Link to the auction? I searched sold items and couldn't find it.

kruegerS, no apostrophe . . . as odd as that seems.

I agree completely. The cans displays well and now you still have money leftover for a bunch of dumping trips this year.
Focus: Cones and flats from Michigan, South Bend, and Fort Wayne. Foreign cans only if I bought them myself in the country of origin.

By the way, the ongrade can went for $43,500 hammer plus $6,090 buyers premium. The underbidder apparently wasn't willing to go $50K . . . I guess everybody has a limit, eh?
