I glanced at four cans and spotted errors in two of the listings. I know it's a lot of work to assimilate all the information, but a final check should have been done. One of them in addition to being incorrect, omitted an important detail that ought to increase the selling price if noted (1 in 50 variation). I'd be upset if those were my cans consigned to be sold. Maybe he'll go back and do a final review once they are up and running.

Was the McSorleys withdrawn from the auction?
Is that what the A means?

That's just Dan adding lots or re-sequencing them after the initial lot numbering is done. The Trent Cream Ale and Trenton Beer are 407A and 407B; it looks like they were late adds and were numbered such that they would fall between Tivoli and Trommer's. It didn't dawn on me to check until now, but the two grey Crowntainers are both "A" also, and so are the Ebling's, National and Malta Hatuey, plus one of the Esslinger's is "C". Perhaps the group came in late and Dan wanted to beef the auction up a bit.

it was a great auction. I didn't win a damn thing, of course, but I found it enjoyable as it went quite fast. Thought that may have helped with some bids to go my way, but not really. hahah

Missed the auction but wanted to see what happened. Lots of good stuff. Kinda surprised at what the 007 that was re lidded brought... https://www.moreanauctions.com/LotDetai ... ryid=23730

A great auction and the range of value was surprising. Dan had cans from $29 to $29K... a bit of something for everyone. :smt023

Sigh . . . I swear, every time somebody says "something for everyone" about one of these auctions, it means there's nothing for me. I had only one can on my watchlist and I wasn't serious about it.

You must have missed the memo. It has been decided that the only thing better than a rolled can is a re-lidded can . . .

Other than this Milwaukee's Best "Top lid is nicely replaced, however can is a tad short." and a grade 1-, what makes this a $798 can? I thought these were $10 - $20 box cans.

"Although the cans will be of no value after opened, their cost is expected to be small..." Iowa: June 22, 1935

Why drive 12 hour one way to dig Pre-Tax Tru Blu ales, Genny 12 Horse Longopeners, Gamecock Ales, Apollos, Neuweilers Bock, and Krueger’s Baldies when you can locally drive 10 hours round trip and dig Pfeiffer, Goebel, Drewrys and Strohs?

Dan's other site shows a near mint example sold at $30. There is also a variation on the mandatory shown as sold at $35. Perhaps the auction variation is tough? Or, you know, auction fever . . .
