A Keg head from Canadian Breweries,
Canadian Breweries keg head.jpg
Dow Breweries, I was told that brewers marked both inside and outside of the boxes to deter other companies from knocking the sides off, turning them over and printing their name on the crate.
dow 7 37.jpg
Labatt's came out with some retro boxes in the 80's and 90's,
Labatt's Wooden box 84.jpg

as did Moosehead,

Sleeman had a 12 pack retro box,

Here's a crate for a single 3 litre bottle,
unibrews 3litre.jpg
Here's what I would consider is Canada first "steel can" Contents are about 10 litre or 2.5 US gallons
Heuther's operated under this name from 1927 (the end of prohibition in Ontario) till 1936 when they changed the name to Ranger Brewing.
Huether Keg.jpg
On it's side ready to pour,

all done,

I agree with Conehead!

Nice that you included sample content with most containers.

Do have a Moosehead cone? You might consider putting a post in the Advertise/Wanted section. You never know. Someone may have an extra or a downgrade they'd be willing to let go. If nothing else, you'll have more eyes out there looking...

I looked them up in the Foreign Can Supplement because I never saw one. They list two. The first one is from 1953 and the second is from 1955.

@Tinman Dave, I have been looking at your Canadian bottles to see if I could identify ones I have.
In college, 1969 - 1971, I was a member of the Zeta Psi fraternity. In 1983 I ran into a Canadian member, who also collected beer stuff.
He sent me 3 bottles from the 100th year anniversary of their chapter. Original beer labels washed off and Zeta Psi labels attached.
First 2 bottles are still full, see foil neck wraps. No markings on the bottoms. Left bottle has words on the neck wrap: Brassin exclus(l?) over Premium brewed.
Can you identify the brands of beer/ale in the 2 full bottles?

Also any other Zeta Psi members on here?

Thanks, Baxter

Great story, The long neck bottle is most likely Brador, there's a picture of a box with the bottle on it near the end of the second last post.. I suspect that the other foil wrap stubby is also Brador as it was one of a very few brands that had foil wrap tops. Brador was our first high alcohol content brand... 6.5% I think... The other ???? stubbies were used by every brewer in Canada for close to 20 years.

Hope this helps,
