The 900+ can find!

#1

Post by Canadacan »

Here's a can story for you!
So I was following up an online ad for some soda cans but the seller indicated the small lot of Cragmont and Cott cans that I wanted were gone already. But did say the bigger lot of 900 Mountain Dew cans were still available!...yes 900 cans!!!...which about 150 of them are the Shopping spree contest ones.
Intrigued I had to ask how such a huge lot of top opened cans surfaced. The seller said they bought a house to renovate and they were attached to the ceiling in a basement room. The cans are from about 1970-71, and the home owner was a school teacher and collected the cans from his students. Obviously the MD were his favorite..., we don't know his exact reason of displaying or what function this served but it's a bizarre thing!...and so 50 years later they all cam down.
These are the 10oz Canadian.

Wow - that’s crazy! Too bad he did drink a wider variety of brands!
I collect one flavor of rare soda can generations. Also publish Collectible Soda Cans - don't hesitate to contact me with cans you have available or questions about old soda cans.

I actually passed, as I'd have to have them shipped.
