Alpen Brau was a Brewery in St Louis MO that was open pre prohibition and for some time after prohibition. I think they closed in the late 1940's maybe early 50's.

The last image in the above post, anyone notice the crates behind the two guys in the back row on the right? While it's supposed to be the Brewery workers making Alpen Brau, a close look at those crates shows The American Brewery, St. Louis Beer. Interesting.
