Did Rich Poore dump the White Caps in Maine?

Rick Poore dumped Indian Queen Ale and Arbee J-Spouts in Maine, as well as Stroud Ale OI's. Not sure where the White Caps were found, but I thought it was Ken Ostrow who found them originally. Dave Lang found a single White Cap later on, but I don't recall which New England state he was in. Ditto on the single Gibbon's Bock LP cone Dave found.

Chris Taylor and I found Krueger's Ale baldies in ME, as well a couple different Krueger Ale OI's (hatted long opener and 3/4 length opener) and Old Reading Beer and Carling's Black Label quarts.

Kent Ale OI's have been dug in ME at least three different times.

Martin Landey dug Cab Cream Ale flats in ME...within a few hundred yards of the baldie dump Chris and I found.

Eric Menning dug Krueger Ale pint cones in ME.

Rick dropped out of the hobby for a number of years but was back in for several years in recent times. I think he got back out again, though. I read about some of his dumping exploits in the old Beer Cans Monthly newsletters and talked to him by email a little a few years ago. You may have seen him at Blue/Grey a few years ago. He had some trouble on the way in - all of his clothes and stuff were tied down to the roof of his vehicle but came loose during the trip. He was walking around at the show wearing clothes with big tire marks on them from being run over on the highway. I didn't see him myself, but a few guys who know him told me this.

12 oz flats- holihans beer usbc 83-3, ballantines ale w/worlds fair back, dawsons ale w/white & green label, rheingold scotch ale, blatz, knickerbocker white can, haffenreffer usbc 78-37, pabst mil can oi/irtp usbc 111-10, neuweilers pilsener long opener, jacob ruppert ale woodgrain w/green oval, genesee 12 horse oi/irtp, schaefer usbc 127-34.

16 oz flats- ballantine light lager, pbr many, knickerbocker many.

hope to add some more this spring, need to dig my most wanted. which is on the list of cans dug in maine. the elusive kent ale. steve

i did some basement dumping today of cans i dug this past november. i have about 30 cans that were packed solid with wet dirt. after 4 months of being in my basement the mud dried. i poked a coat hanger thru the openings, broke up the dirt and shook it out. a few hours of work. then into the acid. these can be added to the dumped in maine list.
FLATS 12oz.
1. old topper pilsener w/gold bands 139-13
2. haffenreffer lager beer 78-36
3. tavern pale from atlantic in chicago 138-22
4. schmidts tiger brand silver noggin ale
FLAT 16oz.
1. ballantine xxx ale 224-19

i have dumped all these brands before many times. except the tavern pale. it was a real surprise for me and a new shelf can as well as 3 others.
still have lots of snow on the ground here. today was 50 degrees and light rain. so a good melting day. can't wait to get back in the woods. cheers, steve

It's common but not on the list: Budweiser Lager OI. I will have to clean it to tell exactly which one it is. Dumped 6/22/2011 on my own property in Rangeley, Maine. My Great Grandfather was probably the one who drank it and threw it in the woods!
