Re: RIP Eddie
Saw them open for Black Sabbath 1978 Never Say Die! tour. Was the trendy thing to say Van Halen stole the show but they really did. RIP Eddie.

Re: RIP Eddie
Didn't see that one coming. Truly one of the greats. Think I'll break out some VH albums tonight. RIP Eddie.

Re: RIP Eddie
I just knew the video was Eruption before clicking on it.
c1981/82 the lady that did my mom's hair (so kids got dragged in too) was married to a guy who worked for a fairly well known Mpls band (spacing their name now)... She was into Jazz and stayed away from the Rock shows. She was aah, let's just say my 13 year old self developed a speech impediment around her. After a show they had opened for VH she went to the party at the hotel and DLR came up and said the do you know who I am line...."OK," I'm the lead singer for Van Halen... "Van who?" He kinda lost interest at that point....
Eddie passing makes me feel a little bit older....
