You see plenty of these as tabs (not sure if zips or not) and as flats, almost always mint and air sealed. Very cool to see an actual dumper of this one! Is it bottom opened and did it actually contain beer those many years ago?

Noted and added to the list. This one was documented already.

The example in the Supplement is a Zip and in great shape. Also a great example of a version 3 (customized) Zip. Note the tab has a "crown" embossed in it and the right side view show the Crown canning logo near the base of the can.

Here's the bottom. I have found many zips opened on the bottom. Seems people got tired of the tab breaking off - seen a ton of these as well - and decided to save time and just use a church key.
And I agree with you, it's cool to find dumpers to "prove" they actually existed. I have a small side collection of oddball dumpers of zips and transition cans for that exact reason.
