NASCAR Fantasy Live even took all stage points away and left 1 point for last place.

I think the overall concept of laziness should prevail, so maybe just go by the official results immediately after the post-race inspection. Otherwise if people go back to check their points later it won't match the posted results. I don't know if precedent was ever set last year, I can't remember the order of finish being changed last year for any race but I could be wrong on that.

btw, from one of the Big New Organizations:
The Hendrick Motorsports Corvette’s rear alignment was found to be past the allowed tolerance, and Johnson was relegated to 40th place.
hmmm...... Not sure if I can trust that whole statement.......

Always use the official finish. Any pool I've been in used that rule.

an :smt024 with a 0-25 IQ. Credibility be damned, must get story out before :smt024 with a 25-50 IQ.

On a side note, my K strategy failed. Even the 48 didn't help me. I throw darts to pick my driver but I couldn't hit the board.

Interesting. At first, I would have said we should certainly go by the final post-inspection results. However, I understand why Kurt previously stated he wanted to go by the finishing order so he could avoid the appeals process. Since the rules presently state we should go by the finishing order, I think we need to stick to that. Yes, I know that benefits me but I am trying to be logical about this even though it may not show. If we decide we would like to change this rule, we should do so for next year's cup season.
Focus: Cones and flats from Michigan, South Bend, and Fort Wayne. Foreign cans only if I bought them myself in the country of origin.

2023 Shows Attended

* Michigan Chapter Winterfest, January 14, Frankenmuth Michigan
* Cabin Fever Reliever, February 24, Mishawaka Indiana
* Buckeye, March 11, Toledo Ohio
* SummerSwap, July 21 & 22, Frankenmuth Michigan

Ok, so here is the ruling! Official NASCAR results is what you get for a driver. If it changes during the year due to an appeal, I will change the scoring to reflect the final appeal. You guys do a pretty good job at policing me so we'll go with that.

I'm actually just like NASCAR....I don't know what I'm doing. Remember that this is all the marbles for a couple of rusty beer cans.

As of this moment, Jimmie gets a 40!

I will also update the Rules to reflect this so we don't have to do this next year.....maybe.

I am not quite clear on the rules here..... If a driver says some wrong word during race and is docked 20 points for disciplinary action does that come off your points ?.....If a driver starts a fight and is docked points does that come off your points ?.....If nascar finds out they were cheating 3 races ago can you lose your points from 3 races ago ?....or is this just when they dock things that are done on the car ? How long after the race can you still be docked points ? 1 day ? 1 week ? or several weeks ? I don't care either way. Just let me know what you guys decide. Kamsquared is doing an excellent job. Don't want to piss anybody off.
Until next time, may your totes always be full of cans and your past and future dumping trips be in your dreams at night.

I know in my fantasy football leagues scoring becomes official for our league purposes at 10:00 am on Thursday. With NASCAR running 2 races per week right now, I would think 24 or 48 hours after would be sufficient to make our scoring permanent. When the go back to 1 race per week I would think a Wednesday or Thursday time frame would be appropriate.

We only go by finishing position so the points docking thing for whatever reason would not be an issue.
It shouldn't be too hard to keep track of the final finishing positions as it will likely be pretty big news on the NASCAR channels and their website if an appeal is granted. I will put a 1 week deadline on it after each race.
