CANvention Hotel and Convention Center-related News...more to follow

Ok first things first. We'll have to deal with issues at the convention center. We realize the questions are going to be "But why..." and we would just say "That additional costs were way too high".

There will only be one area that things can be plugged in to confirm they are working.

Attendees will NOT be able to use 4-wheel hand carts onto the trade-floor. You can use 2-wheeled hand carts all day. We were going to be charged too much in additional costs to have them pushed onto the trade-floor. How can we help resolve some of this issue? We will have a staging area and help with the use of 2-wheeled carts to move an attendees things onto the floor. You can bring all the things you want from the hotel and front area on a 4-wheeled cart and into the convention center but once you reach the trade-floor door the hand cart must be put back to a 2-wheel configuration.

Yep, totally agree. Never go to a union city for a trade show.

As part of a past job I had, I did lots of trade shows all over the country. We did one show in a union city and never did another. At the union city show we had to pay for light bulbs being replaces, plug being plugged in, etc., etc. We were not allowed to do anything ourselves. The costs for all this was crazy high.

So....if you use a 4 wheel dolly....but push/lift it so you're holding the back 2 wheels off the floor, doesn't that make it a 2 wheel dolly? :-)

If t has 4 wheels a UNION WORKER must be the one to push it onto and around the trade floor. A 2 wheeled cart does not have that restriction. Obviously associated additional cost of a Union Worker pushing carts.

A wheelbarrow usually only has one wheel. Does that mean I can bring two?

This one was built by the local Amish. It's a garden cart for the better half and a wheelbarrow for me. Some of the best money I ever spent. Would it qualify? J/K
