Posts from several weeks ago on the other thread said information would be forthcoming about cancelling rooms. So far its been crickets. If the BCCA is sending out emails they have dropped me from their list although my address has been the same for years.

Should I contact the Marriott and cancel my reservation? I've been waiting to do so for further word.

Ok lets see if I can explain it a little bit easier.....You should receive an email from the hotel that will indicate that your room booking has been canceled. I thought that would be understood when I posted it but sorry I didn't give more details....

If you do not get such an email within the next few days either let me know or call and cancel yourself to make sure....

More details on how to book for next year will be made available when possible...

I got the email from the hotel saying my room was cancelled. I never called them.
Michigan cans, Venezuelan cans, Canadian cans, latin American cans, US flat tops, 16 oz ss and flats, ballantines and Wiedemanns.

@beerhunter14 That's it...your room has been officially canceled and you will not be charged for that room...

@triplealex This was a plan for you to not have to call them. The CANventrion committee canceled the block of rooms and the hotel sent out notifications....

An eblast will be coming out once dates are set for next year....

For the sake of completeness, I have received the cancellation email. Glad that this is taken care of, but sorry to see that it had to happen. Hope we never have to go through another year like this one!
