I'm going to the race this weekend so I am taking a driver who I do NOT want to win. So give me Krylebaby Busch in the #18 this week.

Would be cool if once the Chase starts, all picks are hidden until the green flag flies.

Probably not a bad idea so we don't have "snipers" picking the same driver as their close rivals right before the green flag. I'm sure the Webmaster could figure that out for me.....

Picking the driver of a close rival doesn't improve a person's situation. I think the better reason to hide a person's choice is so somebody does not know what driver not too pick. If I was tied with Eric for first place, I would need to pick a different driver than Eric to have any chance of beating him.

If you were a point ahead, pick the same driver and you will finish 1 point ahead.

I'll admit the thought has crossed my mind that picking the same as my closest rivals might be the safest path to victory at this point. But it just doesn't seem very sporting and the stakes aren't high enough to be forever shamed by my fellow collectors. Now if we were talking a million dollars I could probably live with the shame. Also, as the rules are now, they could always try to psych me out and change their picks at the last second. So I don't really think it is necessary to hide the picks.

I am sure there will be a number of races still to come where I do pick the same as the others in the top 3. But for this last race, I actually altered my pick so people didn't get the impression I was copying picks. I had planned on picking Hamlin, but after seeing Alaska Chris had already picked him, and we had picked the same guy the last race, I went with Kyle instead, even though he seemed a little unsettled at the time. It worked out for this race, but now I have to find someone else for Phoenix.

If we hid the picks until after the green flag, you wouldn’t need to change your pick so that it doesn’t look like your picking the same driver on purpose......not sure if that sentence makes sense. Probably a good idea all the way around.
