I have six variations of the Muehlebach's cone's U.S.B.C. 174-12&13. Does anybody have any more or seen any.
Also looking for 174-15. Would like to document any other variations I don't have.

Very Nice Line up you have there.

The one obvious can you are missing is the Bulb top without the alcohol statement. C.C.CO. 52-2D.

Can you list the canning codes on your cans? After you do I will post what I have on the composite.

Thanks,
Jim

Dan,

I have 4 different white Muehlebach's on the composite but have only been able to verify 3.
I shall leave no cone unturned!!

Great Photo! With that photo, I am aware of eight variations, as follows:

IRTP Right; Cap Sealed Panel Left, CCC
IRTP Right; Cap Sealed Panel Left, CCC-73A
IRTP Right; Cap Sealed Panel Left, CCC-52D
IRTP Right; Blank Panel Left
IRTP Right With NMT 4%; Cap Sealed Panel Left, CCC-73E
Blank Panel Right, Cap Sealed Panel Left, CCC-73A
"Contents" Right; Alcohol Statement Left (This is in your photo, but hard for me to read)
No Panel Right; Cap Sealed Panel Left (not sure what the CCC says on that from your photo)

Very neat. I like the bulb top you have there (capped) - I was never able to find one in decent condition like that.

Finally got a chance to put everything together here.

From all the information I have available to me here is what I can come up with:

IRTP, Bulb Top High Pros, Pre-War, No Cap Sealed panel
1. C.C.CO. 52-2D
2. C.C.CO. 52-2C, NMT 4% by volume
3. C.C.CO. 52-2A, NMT 5% by weight

IRTP, standard High Pros, Pre-War, No Cap Sealed panel
4. C.C.CO. 52-4D
5. C.C.CO. 52-4C, NMT 4% by volume (this can has not been verified but should exist based on all the other information)

IRTP, standard High Pros, Post-War, Cap Sealed panel left of seam
6. CCC
7. CCC A
8. CCC 52-D
9. CCC 73A
10. 64 N CCC 73 N, Over 3.2% by weight
11. CCC 73E, NMT 4% by volume

Non-IRTP, standard High Pros, Cap Sealed panel left of seam
12. CCC 73A
13. 64 N CCC 73 N, Alcohol and IRTP blacked out (same canning code as the above 3.2% so that is what is blacked out)

So there you have it, 12 verified variations with one suspected to exist.

Thanks for starting this thread as I was able to add one of your cans to the composite. I did not have the pre-war
standard high pros listed. I suspected they were out there but had never seen any. Now that you verified it I have added both
the alcohol and no-alcohol variations.

I wanted to add the white Muehlbach cone variations as well but didn't want the information to get
lost in my other post.

On the composite I have 4 listed, 3 of which are verified.

1. No Alcohol, (verified)
2. Over 3.2% by weight, (verified)
3. DNCMT 3.2% by weight, (not verified)
4. CNMT 4%, (verified)

May I suggest that we somehow integrate this thread into the Conetop Corner forum? It's exactly the sort of resource material that needs to stick. Think about it: 10 green Muehlebach's variations?

This should stay somewhere that's visible.

Well fellows, this was a perfect link. I was just going bug Jim due to my general laziness but once I found the link; I learned the answer to my first question by myself, damn!

When Longopener say this can: “he said there several tops to this can and check out the Coneheads corner”. I find my mug can to be a (cc co 52-2D) which means I understand correctly I would need a Bulb Top High Pro cone to make it authentic?

So my next step is pick Conehead's et al knowledge of were one might find a top to purchase, trade, or other.

That is a nice can (mug) you found. It will look great when a new top is added.

This thread should help.

Good donors for the correct top for your can could be:

E&B Special,
Milwaukee Club
Schlitz,
Etc.

Just make sure you get a standard bulb top and not a razor bulb. Be sure to try and match the grade of the top to the
overall condition of the can.

I don't think I have any right now, but it shouldn't be too hard to find one from a rusty buncher or ebay.

If I knew my own state's past liquor laws I might be be some help here. I think Kansas only had 3.2 beer till 1948 and I've dumped a couple of these cans locally but they were toast. Back in the 70s i found an IRTP one in a chicken coop but i don't remember if it said 3.2%
I'm constantly finding good cans... in my mailbox. *** My third year of waging Schlitzkrieg on the Flint Hills of Kansas ***

Here's a new one to add to the list. I also acquired an "Over 3.2% by weight" variation last year also. I have updated the below composite to reflect these editions.

Anyone have or seen another 5%?
