How Many Known? - Champagne Velvet TOC's Bumblin' Fisherman

#1

Post by MAKER'S MARK »

Years ago someone told me there were more than 15
different ones, but @ the Indy IBC show a fellow
collector said 12, anyone know for sure?

Numbers 1 thru 5 have been the toughest
to run across, in my experience.
I have 1, 2, 4, & 12. Need
the rest . . .

Below are scans of the dozen I have
been able to cull via the internet.
I am woefully sitting with just
4 of them. Am in the market
to buy, if anyone has any
in grade 7.5+ or higher
for reasonable $$$
(125-175 ish)

Cheers! - John Tucker

I have found numerous of these at antique shops however they are almost without exception priced at $250+ and often times offgrade to varying
degrees so I've never actually purchased one. I hope to find a reasonably priced example someday.

Who fishes while wearing a tie? I never have in all my years of fishing (and drinking beer, naturally).

I was figuratively crying as 2 of these in real
nice grade 8+ sold on eBay, in just the past
3 weeks, for excellent buyer prices!
-was traveling to INDY,& missed
the end of both auctions ):

eBay: 1214 5931 0431 - # 05 "The Ship Builder"
- only 1 JF Kernan did - - Hy Hintermeister did
all of the others of which I am aware . . .
- - - > Sold for only 162.50 < - - -
(has sold on eBay for 400+)

eBay: 3810 1960 1104 - Breweriana.com / Dan M
his "Game Warden lookin' on" - # 11 of 12
- @ grade 8+ sold for 171.00
