Crowntainer Canning Codes
Why are there no canning codes on any crowntainers? I have yet to see one with a canning code stamped on the bottom like all other older cans.

Re: Crowntainer Canning Codes
Really, none of the Crowntainers have date codes stamped on the bottom? I find that exceedingly odd since it was the brewer's decision whether to stamp the cans or not. Few users of J-Spouts stamped the cans, but Brockert, Cremo, Koller, Schmidt and Standard all did so, and all but Brockert also used Crowntainers.jacoby4664 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 01, 2021 9:47 pm Why are there no canning codes on any crowntainers? Re: Crowntainer Canning Codes
Thanks for the feedback Marc. I am still wondering why? Still have not seen a single one with a bottom stamped canning code. Just a thought, but maybe the convex bottom of the can was too deep for the coding machinery?

Re: Crowntainer Canning Codes
I guess we don't know what a Crowntainer canning line looked like, but a Crowntainer bottom is of similar depth to the concave bottoms on other cones. It's a conundrum for sure.
