Found a lot more cans this time.
There was some small 30s piles behind the foundations. The National Bohemian is one of my most wanted to dump cans.
I've got at least 4 or 5 shelf cans from this trip so far.

The condition looks great on the National Bohemian too, so good for you. I've only dug one example of that can in Michigan, about 30 years ago near Tecumseh - not exactly a stellar area for digging cans, but I used to go down to Jim McKinney's beer can store pretty regularly and afterwards I would look for dumps until it got dark out.

Right, there was no Detroit plant yet - it's from Baltimore.

Interesting - I missed that in USBC and don't recall ever seeing one in Michigan collections. The one I dug was from Baltimore and seemed an odd find.

Cans are cleaning now. Looks like I dumped a 1 face
e version and I have a 2 face dumper (very rough shape) on my shelf.

Here's what made it to the finish line. Really wished few of these cleaned better.

New cans:
Miller 16oz ( these really seem to eluded me)
Mavis lemon lime
Dupont Remington gun oil can
National Bohemian
Blatz U top from Peoria Heights

Upgrades :
Vernors
Altes

I also have 4 cans yet to clean. Another vernors, a bud zip, schlitz fab tab and a miller U tab.
The miller and schlitz arr expected to be shelf cans too.

I can't read the mandatory on the national Bohemian so I'm just assuming it's Detroit. It's a 1 sided can.

Supplement only shows two cans in that style from Detroit, a two face and a one face. Click to enlarge.

I would assume since your can doesn't have "Contents" at bottom front, it would be the 1 face can (if you can distinguish other features to verify).

The Supplement only shows 1 can in this style with a right eye. It's from Baltimore. Click to enlarge.

The 3 times I dumped the Natty Boh that summer, all 3 times were Detroit cans.
"Although the cans will be of no value after opened, their cost is expected to be small..." Iowa: June 22, 1935

Why drive 12 hour one way to dig Pre-Tax Tru Blu ales, Genny 12 Horse Longopeners, Gamecock Ales, Apollos, Neuweilers Bock, and Krueger’s Baldies when you can locally drive 10 hours round trip and dig Pfeiffer, Goebel, Drewrys and Strohs?
