5 cans

Post by bantam10 »

Last weekend, the 25th and 26th I spent 2 days dumping in both peninsulas. Long story short, I only found 3 cans all day in the UP and about 12 or so in the Lower.
On Sunday I found what appears to be the remains of a town dump, which is where my shelf cans of the trip came from.
I did finally find a blatz LP conetop in the UP, but sadly it was too damaged for me to salvage.
This trip could’ve gone smoother, since most of the spots in the UP were occupied by bear hunters, and Sunday I had to smash out a window in my car because I got locked out (freak fluke with my door) when I was miles from anywhere.

I just finally got almost everything clean. Cones were trashed prewar Schmidt’s.
This will be one of, if not the last up north trips of the year as Hunting season is in full swing now.

New cans -
Drewrys
Vernors (variation)

Upgrades
Frankenmuth

Beautiful scenery! I remember my wife and I once planning a hike in Vermont. Made an hour long drive, got out of the car, and all we heard were gunshots. Deciding discretion was the better part of valor, we did not end up taking that hike ...

I hear gunshots all the time, practically every single trip I go on. In fact it’s such the norm that I don’t even pay attention unless it’s right next to me.
