Rocky Mountain Digging Adventure
Jim Hall and I are out in the Utah and Colorado mountains for several days. Here is some of what we found on our first day! Keep in mind my flight did not arrive until 2pm. Jim handled getting rental vehicle in advance, picked me up at SLC airport, quick Walmart stop for supplies, and we were digging before dark!

You earned it Conehead, after the snowstorm debacle a few weeks ago. A few AM/PM showers the weatherman said...Ha!

What a great adventure canaddict and I had. We dug holes from dawn to dusk, and were even able to turf of some decent cans.
Here are some more pictures for you viewing pleasure.

Everyone loves an in ground shot.
It really gets your blood pumping when you see something like this!
Just a few of the goodies.

Re: Rocky Mountain Digging Adventure
More Pics...............
First can with age found.
A can I really wanted to dig on this trip.
And the Export.
W.T.F.? This was in the middle of nowhere.
Love to see wildlife.
My favorite antique body style.
And of course the scenery was amazing.
The cans are cleaning up nicely. I'll post a group shot in a couple of weeks.

Re: Rocky Mountain Digging Adventure
Cleaning is done, so I guess this wraps up another fantastic adventure. Until the next one.
The top 2 cans are some of the cleanest cones I have ever dug!
More cones! Notice that some of these have a 3.2% alcohol statement and some do not. They were found all together....weird? That 3.2% is not listed in the USBC. It's a tough cookie!
I just love this color combination.
What a classic soda label....and super clean!
Manhattan 4 panels! Ugh, condition really sucked with these guys.
Some of the better condition cans.
1925 and 1931. Found at the same location, 2 different spots. The next one should have the cans......we couldn't find it.
Can't leave cool stuff like this behind.
Oh the glory!

Re: Rocky Mountain Digging Adventure
That absolutely fascinates me that you can dig up two Blatz cans like that after all these years. Amazing. In fact the condition of many of those cans is great. Good job!!

We actually did find 1 crowntainer. It was a mystery but soaked out to reveal an Eblings. I was hoping for it to be a 3.2% but it didn't have any statement at all. It was not good enough to save.

Re: Rocky Mountain Digging Adventure
Those Eblings were sold everywhere apparently. Everywhere. Still a great selection of cans and amazing condition considering the age.
