Wisconsin fall dumping
The Gang Rusty J, Rockbob, Badger Jeff, Ziphippie, and Myself met at the Faye Lake Resort in Northern ,Wisconsin for some Dumping, We found lots of 30s cans in areas that had been picked before. Lots of red millers, enough to call the trip,IMO, "The Red Miller Thriller" .We found lots of mystery cones and flats. Here is my take, Thanks for looking. Two Gallon Tom

Re: Wisconsin fall dumping
Still cleaning some cans but most are gray PBR from LOL dump and black Millers from Faye lake. My mystery lo-pros were Blatz. It was a blast, quite the soirée Sat. night. Ziphippie

Re: Wisconsin fall dumping
When I seen Tom's initial post and the Goebels in the picture I thought of the time about 3 years ago that him and I were digging in the same hole and both went to grab for a Goebel at the same time, lol. I guess you had to be there but I will always chuckle over that....

The Red Miller Thriller
Finally got through my cans, and Tom got it right it was a Red Miller Thriller they were every where we went. I ended up with the four major variations.
I see that Bob and Andy are into them as well. On Thursday we went back to this dump in Boulder Junction that we hit in July, we felt there was more, and was hoping to upgrade some of the cans we found then, found a nice Prima that looked good in the ground, two others were mysteries. Same with an IRTP Embassy Club. Friday This was more like a dump area, several piles spread around, almost all 30's. I found some old Red Millers, and I'm pretty sure my Pabst Milwaukee Export came from this spot. I was digging some Blatz soda crowns when I saw this beetle run across, I spent some time trying to get a good picture of him, but he just wouldn't hold still. so here's my best worst picture. a European Ground Beetle, apparently introduced to North America in barrels of earth used for ballast centuries ago. Also while digging these crowns I found this 1936 Indian head nickel, I bet it was a shinny new nickel when it was lost with the discarded crowns.
first time I ever found a coin in a dump Also found this Copenhagen TOC in this dump. Saturday, I was digging on the outer edges of this dump looking for some un dug areas, along a rotted moss covered long about 4 to 6 inches deep, I found a little collection of cans, all were different as if someone was lining up all the different cans they could find in the dump. some nice condition though all were common 50's cans. I did get an upgrade purple Drewrys sport series and a Bantam for the shelf. Here's what cleaned up. Another great adventure in the Northwood's of Wisconsin, had a blast. It was the first time we all got together since Neil's passing, It was good sharing our stories of him and toasting our friend, he was surely missed.
I will be putting six beer cans on the shelf, the IRTP Embassy Club and Pabst Milwaukee Export are new cans, the rest are some nice upgrades including the Shorty. looking forward to getting out again. Wixom lake anyone??
Here's to mud on your boots.
