U.P. fall adventure
Some of the R.B. Gang and I met in northern Wisconsin and the U.P. to do some dumping a few weeks ago. thanks to Yooper Aho for letting us stay at his place. We had some iffy weather , explored some dumps that had been found before and found a few new spots as well. heres a few cans that I kept.
Shine on you crazy diamonds !!!!

Re: U.P. fall adventure
The Uchtorff dump was fun!!!
We met Friday afternoon in northern WI for some fall dumping….in a dump!
I was able to find coordinates of some dumps we visited with Neil conesplus- miss you, Mapmaster.
If I previously took a pic near the dump- we can now find it.
TGT, BadgerJeff, Rusty and I met up in the Uchtorff dump that was half frozen when we found it with Neil. Previously known as the Dorf/forD dump. I even found some cans on the drive up, looking for something else…. kind of stumbled on some 2nd gen. zips and fans. We were to meet up with BeastofBurden and RockBob Sat. afternoon at Faye Lake- Ziphippie

Re: U.P. fall adventure
I don’t have many pics from Saturday. We found a killler trout stream in our travels. I stayed behind to get a couple casts while the gang went ahead and talked to some locals. I didn’t get a pic of the one that got away- I had a monster trout flash on a minnow bait. Going back to that spot!
We met up with the Beast and Rockbob Sat. afternoon and we headed East on Sunday in two vehicles, actually split up for a couple hours and somehow found each other hours later- no phone service! They found some nice cans, not many. Spotted the Thirsty Whale in Norway, some cool sight seeing. Ziphippie- Ziphippie

Re: U.P. fall adventure
YooperAho was kind enough to let us camp Sunday and Monday night in Crystal Falls. Thank you!
Just some scenery pics from the next two days. Wanted to get more in the ground pics but I was busy talking to a nosy neighbor while the guys were digging single punches from the resort dump,
“….strange….hobby…..you….all…have….”
ha, laughter. Great times. Clean can pics next. Ziphippie

Re: U.P. fall adventure
Hey Tom-O,
I told you I would pile on a few pics, finally getting around to it. nice little pile of rust you got there. You always seem to find some of the more unique labels on our trips. I'm envious of the Uchtorff, that has some good color, I think I would give that one another soak. Shine On!! Hoppe you're staying warm up there.
Bjorn, thanks for all the great pics. those kilns are cool, a different time for sure. I forgot about that trout stream; those locals were serving beer.
Your Dorf Fan turned out decent, and nice Kol.
Those guys and Jeff were already in the dump when I showed up late Friday afternoon. Bjorn text me a map with an X, I found their cars along the road, though I had been there before I had to use my "rusty sense" to find them in the forest. Fun times.
I didn't take many pics but was able to squeeze some more out of them.
Tom secured us lodging at Fay Lake Resort. Saturday the six of us head out in two vehicles, Jeff, Tom and Bjorn in Jeffs car, Bob, Patrick and me in Mine. it was raining fairly hard when we got to our location. We split up, I stopped at a spot that looked good, Bob and Patrick got out to rabbit, shortly Bob came back to get me and a digger he had found a little dump of sodas. some pretty good ones, old Faygo's and first gen Sprite to name a few. We bagged them up and started detecting the area. found a few scatter cans and then a nice little pit of Goebelle extra dry's. We were soaking wet, but ironically, Patrick declared us team "extra dry".
Sunday digs more pics coming up shortly.

Re: U.P. fall adventure
Looking Good Rusty, Great collection of photos , I was wondering where you were, or when you were anyway. I had a can digging dream, last week where the property owner told me to leave,. I had to abandon several labels my sub conscience invented, all shefers too. So I am ready for more digging adventures and like hey Man that orb is freaking me out. TGt
