Rather than keeping track of how many posts one person submits, I think a better measure is how long a thread remains going. 4 pages is pretty impressive. I think the travelling box might be 5, but I'm not sure. If so, I think that's our record. That's something worth noting, because it takes a group which is what this all about. My $.02.

And I'm in for the tour. Who's bringing beer and snacks?

I think the secrecy thing was because they wanted to "stick it" to the owner of the oringinal Class can,(who had it for investment purposes) although they way word traveled about the can, he had to know about it before the magazine came out

Aren't there many cans of which only one are known? Tiger may have more pub (due to design, brewery, etc) but is it really unique in its uniqueness?

I talked to a guy at SwapaRama last weekend that swears up and down about the existance of a 6 pack of Bud crowntainers.
Lets just say I still am in the doubting camp.
I DID hear the story of how the first one turned up that was on ebay in the last few months

Maybe it's time to redo the list of unique cans, condition is ignored here, and Lilek numbers for cans with different Canco codes for different years are ignored as well. Anybody who can knock a can off this list or add one, please post a reply and I'll keep editing the posting to keep a running tally. We're talking major and noticeable/widely collected differences only, many don't keep alcohol/tax info differences so those are ignored.. As painful as this is, this list will ignore gray vs. silver and enamel vs. metallic and crowntainer background colors. This is from memory, too tired tonight to drag out all the books to cross-reference, and I'm vehemently including non- 12oz flat top Oi's here, so apologies to The Instructionalites who ignore all other packages as less than worthy.

Tiger OI
Hillman's OI #1
Hillman's OI #2
Autocrat no mandatory (if the others were obtainable this probably wouldn't make the list)
Manhattan Bock (wasn't one version still unique? Again, wouldn't make the list if the other variation weren't as tough as it is)
Butte Special lopro
Royal Finest lopro
Pink Kato
Black Schlitz FBIR
Hohenadel Bock (the known 70's dumper apparently broken to bits and gone)
Trent Cream Ale J (currently being courted from a non-collector)
Falstaff crown
Schlitz crown
Bud crown
Boston Light 'little brown jug' crown
Trent Cream Ale crown
Treat Cream Ale qwat
White Cap qwat
Perone qwat
Golden Age (PA) qwat
Miller OD
White Altes crown
Cardinal gold/white?

There's gotta be a list five times this long if we really put our collective minds to work on it.

Never heard of a Trent Cream Ale J or any Trent in a J-Spout? Who has that one? Thought existance was only speculation? The guy with the Grain Belt O.D. had 2 or 3 of them. I didn't see the Gold & White Cardinal on the list or White Altes Crowntainer? LEON.

I have a picture of a Schlitz Bock Crown paperlabel.
I will check and see if it is ok to post picture here, pic is not mine originally.

This was a test can and never marketed to public.
