Thanks Chuck...she’s a tough one to get and I definitely drained my beer can fund for awhile here but who knows when another one would ever come up again.

Getting ready to (carefully) drink some Old Detroit out of new addition....Pre-Pro Goebel glass.
I always thought Goebel should have keep that emblem.
Probably hasn’t had beer in it since the Woodrow Wilson administration.

Thought I would add some updated pictures.

Michigan cans get no love but I know there is still a hard core group of us out there!

To answer Leon’s question, the Old Detroit is a new can and they still brew it up in Frankenmuth.

Haven’t seen the yellow background Old English, I have the black flat and the cone. Great design, great can. Nice.

I guess I might as well keep this old post alive.
Just added the Schmidt’s “short label flat”....a former Stark can.
For posterity I’ve included a picture of Chuck Starrett’s TWO examples....including the best known example on the left❗️
Michiganders obviously like to retire down here in Florida😎🌴

Those are some killer zips. I’m pretty confident I’ll eventually find a 1 sided strohs zip.

I rarely dig Any Michigan tab that isn’t a strohs.

Here’s my 2 tough Michigan tabs.

Dumped the pfeiffer fan tab
Strohs is a $5 find at Cabin Fever. Very underrated can!

Ted,
As much as you dig I'm sure you will, (Beast of Burden dug one on a trip we took in May, post forthcoming)
Nice Pfeiffer, would love to dig one of those. I'm still after a Pfeiffer tear drop zip.
I have only dug a Strohs pint once, and not that tough one.

Forgot about this beauty, another tough MI tab I dug, the Detroit Drewrys

Glad ya got faith in me. I’d love to be a part of these adventures some time..

I forgot about that Drewrys fan tab. That’s another that I’m almost confident I’ll find. More so than the strohs honestly.

Dumped a vast majority of these. Photo quality sucks. Completely out of room here.

Great finds!!
Really like the Patrick Henry and the oval Goebel Ale 8oz, can’t be many dumpers of that can.
You dumped a couple Honers too if I remember, nice work there also👍
Yes I did.
I acquired the goebel 16, newer bantam ale, and the bottom row cans. Dumped the rest. However i have dumped the metallic fox deluxe too, that specific example was left out of the picture.

Here is what I have left from my old dumped it myself collection down here in Florida.
Also back in Michigan somewhere in the attic is a 16oz Blue oval Goebel, T-Bird Goebel, Yellow oval Altes crowntainer, a few different Pfeiffer scenic series, and a Altes Sportsman that I dumped years ago also.
Great memories!
The Pfeiffer is IRTP
EDiT - Added a few more old dumped it myself cans - I forgot I dumped a Burger Brau in Michigan so I included it in here.

It took me years to dig a decent Schmidt’s cone.
Every single one was severely sun faded. One of those cans that needs to be buried for a chance of survival
