Are Flat Top Banks typically higher or shorter than standard height?

Nothing definitive but I had a few that I sold off a few years ago and did not notice a difference in height on the shelf.

Maybe because I didn't look close enough. Kinda like the buck tooth girl who had a nice rack, I didn't look at the teeth. If that's off color please delete.

I believe they are the same height as the corresponding non-bank can.
Focus: Cones and flats from Michigan, South Bend, and Fort Wayne. Foreign cans only if I bought them myself in the country of origin.

The space between my ears tells me they should be the same. Production runs of cans holding liquid versus cans holding air should not differentiate in the least. Lids for liquids and lids for bank slots are pre-shaped, pre-stamped and pre-punched prior to assembly. If there's a noticeable variation, it's either a fluke or a re-lid. Face it, there's some good re-lidders out there.

My humble $0.02...

Luckily, I did not sell this Miller bank can at Frankenmuth over the weekend so I was able to make a comparison. They are the same.

It's good that you asked. This is a hobby full of exceptions to the rule. It is probably just a matter of time before somebody comes up with an odd sized bank can. If I recall correctly, former BCCA president, Paula Fatura, specializes in bank cans.
