Re: Case of IBC.
Didn't know this was also an alcoholic beverage. This is what we get down here. My dad got questioned by a police officer because he was carrying this brown bottle in a local Wal Mart....

Re: Case of IBC.
I have not been to this show recently but I have been to it twice in the past. The Indy chapter puts on a quality event.
Focus: Cones and flats from Michigan, South Bend, and Fort Wayne. Foreign cans only if I bought them myself in the country of origin.

Re: Case of IBC.
Being a west coast guy, I have no idea how tough these are, but a friend sent me this photo from a recent dumping trip.
The luckiest dumpers don't rely on good fortune, the unluckiest do.

Re: Case of IBC.
The ones that show up are usually in this condition or worse.
Very rare in 1+ condition.

Re: Case of IBC.
Those are nice! That label, Crown Select was the last canned beer from the IBC. I'd put those cans around '47 or '48. The brewery had several owners and name changes over the years since its founding in the 1800's. The last owner of the brewery was infamous for short filling their 12oz cans of Gold Medal & Progress labels with only 11oz's. They were found out in early '48 and after a lawsuit from the state of Indiana and the IRS the owner Lawrance Barden went to jail and the company went bankrupt and closed for good.
You see that label from time to time, but their certainly not common! I don't think I've ever seen that many at once. I'd like to hear the story of where they were dug, and I do know those would sell fast in the Midwest!
