Picked Up a small collection today,Some cool suprises!

Drove a couple hours to pick up a small 200 or so can collection today in Halifax NS. This collection was very odd array of cans. The cans ranged from the 1950's to 1980's and 99% of the cans were opened from the bottom with 2 small nail holes. My guess is the original owner was a sailor of some sort and he picked up and collected cans at each port he went to and drank them himself(Halifax is a major Canadian port city)..Only about 1/4 of them were Canadian and they were very random. But there were a couple upgrades and few shelvers from the more common ones. One odd ball was a 1965 Aluminum Blue Alpine can that was a flat top. My first reaction that can't be real but it has 2 holes on the bottom like all the other cans and it was released at a time where perhaps a batch of flat top lids were used on the next generation which is not unheard of. There were also quite a number of of European Cans mostly being flat tops and a couple of Zips. the 9 2/3 are pretty cool. Not many American cans but there was a good selection of Puerto Rico cans including a 10oz Schlitz Zip Top which is pretty cool. Also a JR! Most of the American cans were from areas with ocean ports, Baltimore, New York,Puerto Rico and where ever they sold 14 oz cans .

Some very cool cans in there. Congrats on the pickup!

Sending you a PM in case you are willing to let any of them go.

Those "Ann on Vacation" cans are fantastic!! I also see at least a few I'd love to have a shot at if you ever decide to sell some of these!

Nice cans! I'm interested in the Black Label zip if it is from Atlanta.

Thanks!
