Antique show find

#1

Post by stringsx24now »

In the city I live in, there is a significant antique show that occurs two times a year and draws dealers from all over the Midwest and beyond. It also draws loads of collectors from all over, including myself at times to look for “stuff”.
I have occasional found a few things for my collection and/or trade stock, but competition is fierce among Minnesota and Iowa and Wisconsin beer collectors to locate the bargains. At least one BCCA member sets up a booth to sell each year.
This year I had time to go on Friday, and located two flat top cans in good condition. I saw plenty of other beer stuff, but the large majority was overpriced and/or junky (and still overpriced!)

Yes, 7oz flats may not be the most exciting, but the price was excellent, and even though I collect 7 and 8 oz flats, I ended up needing this variety of can (239-21) for my collection. So score x2.

I will have the extra one with me when I attend Swap A Rama next month in St. Louis.

Nice score and good for you!

Whenever I attend an event like that it's nice to come away with something. You've spent the time, the gas to get there, admission, etc. Walking away with something you are happy with is a good day!

Congrats!
Bob
