When my father died, Don got me going again and became my beer can mentor. I found a kato cone at a rummage and picked it up for him. We had coffee and next thing you know I was head over heels in love with beer cans again. The last cone I found for Don was the Fredrick's from Thronton Illinois. Steve Urner repaired the top and don fixed the seam. When Don passed I got these two cans from his collection.
The other day I went to visit Cindy Don's wife and she gave me the Bullet hanging on the kato cone. It holds some of Don's ashes. Half of Don's ashes are buried beneath his deer stand and the other half they filled in these bullets and gave to his grand children and me. I will be honored to bring Don with to the 50th anniversary of the Badger Bunch April 3rd and to the Green Bay show April 22. These were his and my father's favorite shows.
