Just trying to get a sense for how many Rusty Bunchers are planning to go to the upcoming St. Louis Canvention?
Thanks. Dave

Have a room reservation, and tried to contact the hotel guy, but never got back to me. I'll need to just return it to the hotel if there's no way to return it to our pool.

I assume it's the second week of August? St. Louis is only about 3.5 hrs. from the house so it would be a good day trip for me. I think I'll try to make this one.

Re: Going to St. Louis Canvention 50 v2.0 Poll?
Planning to arrive Tuesday, leaving Saturday. Wouldn't miss this one for the world.
I know there are several more detailed tours of the Anheuser-Busch Brewery that go into more detail on the interesting history of the brewery and/or the brewing process. Is anything being set up around that? Like any group reservations?

@Dixie Dave Here are some details of a few other items being sponsored by the Gateway Chapter.
Come take one or both of two bus tours being hosted by the Gateway Chapter, at the upcoming BCCA Canvention in St. Louis, Missouri.
On Tuesday, 17 August, if you like brewery history, you will love taking the Beer Barons of Bellefontaine Cemetery Your. Price is $49.00 and includes lunch and a beer.
The second bus tour is set for Wednesday, 18 August, when we will take the St. Louis Historical Brewery Sites Tour, where you will see the Lemp complex, Anheuser-Busch, Griesedieck Brothers / Falstaff breweries, plus many others. This tour, priced at $49.00, also includes lunch and a beer.
Registration is now open for both tours, with limited seating (only 55 per tour), so, complete and mail in the form below now, to reserve your spot on the tour(s) of your choice.
Any questions? Feel free to drop me a note, and ...
Many Thanks,

Re: Going to St. Louis Canvention 50 v2.0 Poll?
I’ll be arriving Tuesday and heading home on Sunday. Will be in and out all week as we help get our son set up in his new dorm. How convenient that he’s going to seminary in St. Louis!

Re: Going to St. Louis Canvention 50 v2.0 Poll?
from the March 1971 BCCA newsletter Vol. 1, Issue 1:
NATIONAL CONVENTION IN SEPTEMBER???
Several members throughout the country have suggested we have a convention. This subject was discussed at the February 13th board meeting and the seed was planted! But, the board wants YOUR suggestions! What do you think about having a national convention? Where should it be held? Who should attend? What would the cost be?
The board feels the cost should be limited to only those who attend the convention. The Association should not take dues money and spend it on a convention that would not be attended by all of the members.
If the convention is held in St. Louis, arrangements can be made to tour Anheuser-Busch Brewery (world's largest one) and the Falstaff Brewery, which has quite an interesting historical museum.
Tentative plans are to run the convention from Friday noon until Sunday noon. The weekend could be packed wth tours, trading sessions, round table discussions, good food.....and good beer!
Please write to the President of B.C.C.A., Denver M. Wright, Jr. at our national headquarters, P.O. Box 9104, St. Louis, Missouri 63117. Let him know what your feelings are toward a national convention. Would you attend??
