Marc,
Thanks for the outstanding contribution(s)!

Your collecting niche should have some great additions to the reference.

I never got around to digging beyond the flat top cans. I will add the newest ones and cull the less than perfect ones.

Thank you!

Ed (MI-Cans)

A few pre-war National Can Co. things, again sequential.

- Two from 1935, Tru Blu Ale 140 09 3 and Red Top Ale Lilek 717. Interestingly, the early Red Top variations all use "N. C. C." and "double lining", while the Tru Blus which preceded them used "National Can Co." and "double lining" as did the Fox Export which followed them. Go figure? We have dated introduction ads for all three brands, so there's no guesswork in dating/sequencing them

- 1936, changes "lining" to "Lined" and adds "REG. TRADE MARK". Hull's Cream Ale Lilek 429

- 1936, removes "REG." and adds "NEW YORK". Fox Deluxe 64-39

Ed,

Thank you for putting all this information together - I've been dying to contribute and finally have time. I started taking notes on this stuff in the mid-1990's . . .

American Can Co., again sequential. All are 1935 and (singular) Patent Pending

- Seen on Krueger's Special, the first three production Krueger's Ales and Beers and the first three Pabst Exports. This is Pabst Export Lilek 639

- Identical verbiage, aside from the fluke appearance of "This can is", in three different ways. Rams Head Ale Lilek 706, Gunther's Beer Lilek 371, Ballantine's Ale Lilek 62

- "COMPANY" changes to "CO." Waldorf Lager Lilek 856

20210613_102112-1.jpg

- "REGISTERED" changes to "REG.". Pabst Export 111-07. Old Tankard Ales Lilek 614, 615 and 616, none of which I have, use identical verbiage except "CO." instead of "COMPANY" and 614 has a unique Keglined in very large letters

20210613_102138-1.jpg

- "REG. TRADE MARK" changes to "TRADE MARK REG US. PAT. OFF.", with and without periods and with "COMPANY" appearing again in one instance. Waldorf Ale Lilek 849, Feigenspan Ale Lilek 260 (USBC 62-36?), Rams Head Ale Lilek 707, Pabst Export Lilek 642

I have updated the reference of Can Company Logos thanks to the many contributions from @mtracy64. There are now two picture pages and a 4 page PDF that provides pertinent details relative to the images.

A huge thank you to Marc!

I hope that some of you can find this information to be helpful and useful. This is after all, the best reference site in the Hobby.

I think the unknown Iron City can co. logo is Bev-Pak, Inc.
