Re: DISCUSS EBAY RESULTS HERE (post auctions in reference section)
I was fortunate enough to pick this one up yesterday. Same deal here--this is probably the only way I'll ever pick up one of these. The on-grade examples do not fly under the radar, and they always go for prices out of my league. Did I get a good deal on it?

Re: DISCUSS EBAY RESULTS HERE (post auctions in reference section)
In my opinion you got a good deal but I suppose I could be wrong. I cannot recall the last time I saw an off grade example of this sell so it is hard to compare. As long as you are happy, that is what is important.Beercanpete wrote: ↑Mon Dec 23, 2019 11:00 am I was fortunate enough to pick this one up yesterday. Focus: Cones and flats from Michigan, South Bend, and Fort Wayne. Foreign cans only if I bought them myself in the country of origin.

My all time favorite label , even as a kid and seeing it in the BCU and seeing Kevin Michels adds in BCM about willing to pay $1000 , was shocked .. got my 1st 12 horse on eBay in late 90s from KOTTO who brought Bramlettes collection , that 12 horse had a soldered pastes up back .. then got the Lew Twins for $260 then dumped 2 in 04, sold my Twins can to MikeS for $260 and will never let this cam leave me .. don’t think I’ll have $$ to buy what they go for now , rather pay for my big Boat lifestyle ..

I've never seen, in person, the metallic version of a Brew 52. This can popped up on Ebay and I figured it would go for decent money, but wow!!
$1,600+ is strong $$. I would think the seller is very happy.

Re: DISCUSS EBAY RESULTS HERE (post auctions in reference section)
I was bidding on a can the other day. I watched the timer go from 15 min down.. at 10 seconds left. The auction ended. Is this a new thing? I won the item.. but if someone was going to bid with 3 seconds to go, they got screwed! Any thoughts?

Re: DISCUSS EBAY RESULTS HERE (post auctions in reference section)
New Thing?? That would be alarming. If you are a buyer then so be it, but as a seller, those last second bids can be everything. I would be extremely upset by that on my auctions.

Re: DISCUSS EBAY RESULTS HERE (post auctions in reference section)
There are lot of things that come in to play with coutdown timers. They are running in your browser in JavaScript. If you didn’t refresh the page, the timers can get out of sync depending on your internet connection and your computer work load etc. EBay will send the auction complete which accounted for going from 10 second to over
I would suggest refreshing page and syncing at the one minute mark.

I would say this is probably the best one known. I posted a picture of my P.O.S. in this thread. I believe there are only 1 or 2 other dumpers out there.

Re: DISCUSS EBAY RESULTS HERE (post auctions in reference section)
Decent money for this very attractive can. Easy open soft top with embossed "6 for 1.14" is very cool. Great overall condition.
All in, with shipping AND sales tax in most states, you could easily be over $400. I was thinking somewhere in the 250 range would take it. My mistake and my loss.

This is a head scratcher. The Cans Inc variation is less common than the Keglined panel cans but certainly not more than $5 - $6 in this condition. The Can Inc isn't a paint over candidate either...and only 1 in 50 Keglined oval Drewrys have a paint over can underneath them.

Re: DISCUSS EBAY RESULTS HERE (post auctions in reference section)
Watch the ebay auctions with interest, sometimes to bid, other times just to watch (ex Copenhagen Castle) This week saw two cans that were not listed and appeared to be fake, but saw people bidding on them. Are the Griesedieck and Lammers (remember as a 70s tab) cone tops for real?

No, The Lammers and Griesedieck cones are total fakes! Same seller sold a Milwaukee Premium novelty cone as well. The three cans brought in over $217!!
