#1

Post by hemmings »

Not too much beer stuff lately but several goo dpictures that might be of interest-

Does anyone have this Gluek Bock poster?
Image

Ooh, this one I just grabbed from the old Brewery Collectibles magazine from a Cowboys and Indians article: Does anyone have this Grain Belt Tray- I would love to see a good photo of it, or get the tray (you gotta dream):

Image

Alright onto the TX stuff: Grand Prize silver cans with the tops cut out on a boating trip:

Image

What to do with empty beer kegs? Try a footrest:
Image

or fill them with something better than beer, yeah I said it!
Image
and finally a pair of Southern Select bottle views and a very nice old "chair". I have another photo of the big guy that I can't find now..doooh.....

Image

Sorry for boggin your machine down- hope you enjoyed them. Andy

I've seen one of the Grain Belt trays, it's actually a large self-framed tin sign. Very rare. Cool pics, I've never seen one of the Glueks bock posters either...Gluekhead???? Gluek Beer-Dave???

I haven't seen the poster, but isn't the goat a guest speaker at NEXT WEEK'S GUZZLE & TWIRL???? Who knows what goodies might show up there. I'll be there Fri night but not Sat.

The Gluek Poster is a new one for me. I can't imagine too many of them survived. Maybe someone will be lucky enough to unearth one some day?? The Grain Belt tray is for sale right now if you know where to look and have some disposable income. I just might be at G n T next Friday or Saturday...

Ooh Dave, good eye,er...nose.Yes,there is one for sale now.A bit offgrade but available.

The bock poster is a stock image with the script Glueks printed above,I think that has a blue background. But no...I haven't seen a Glueks version.

There also Copenhagen and Schmidt's City Club debossed TOC signs above the entry way...a nice bunch of stuff in there. Thanks for sharing.

That 1/2 circle Coke sign is awesome as well! And...check out the trays under that coke sign, they may be old Coke trays, not sure...but....in between the trays it looks like crowntainers on the shelf?

The more you look at the bar picture, the more things stick out. Reminds me of my son's Highlights magazine that has all the hidden items in the picture for the kids to identify. Thanks for posting.

Gluek Bock Poster RPPC MN.jpg
I went looking in the old threads for Gluek LP cone info and found this one. Here is a little better image of my postcard with the bock poster. will get a high res scan manana.

BTW Does a flat bottom version of any Silver LP Cone exist? Making a Gluek label composite list and think I can now demonstrate that the white Pilsener Pale label design was their first after Repeal. The Silver cones are their only ones of the 7 basic cones designs they used that does not have a pretty closely matching label. Kay 89-6 is weak but the closest. Andy

It took a bit of processing power, but there are 2 cardboard signs advertising Gluek's Winter Brew (I think) Both to the right of the bar,and atop the same bar, centered with a steinie bottle that's flanked by crowntainers?

Hi Blake, great bottle. What does the alcohol statement say? I have a dup of the label with CNMt3.2%ABW

The neck looks like it should go with the Kreemee Root brown.... Andy

Hi Blake, sorry to belabor this too much- That Bock has the long IRTP statement? this is #156 on my composite Gluek label list.
Think I figured out several sequence's that may be worth an article, maybe for ABA... Andy
