Not sure if this is a new acquisition since I owned this exact day can years ago (5%)
The older Falstaff cans with the larger Lemp style shields that have the alcohol contents are way underrated ..

Awesome can!!!! Let’s see a picture of the seam/OI panels. I heard the OI pictures on both sides of seam at bottom is the toughest variation?
Thanks,

@Baxter

Until recently, I only had a couple CANvention cans. At the recent Winterfest show in Frankenmuth, I struggled to find anything I needed for my focus area so I bought five more CANvention cans. Ray noticed it appeared I was starting a new side collection and generously sent me the four cans pictured below. Thanks Ray!

20220130_184844.jpg
Focus: Cones and flats from Michigan, South Bend, and Fort Wayne. Foreign cans only if I bought them myself in the country of origin.

2023 Shows Attended

* Michigan Chapter Winterfest, January 14, Frankenmuth Michigan
* Cabin Fever Reliever, February 24, Mishawaka Indiana
* Buckeye, March 11, Toledo Ohio
* SummerSwap, July 21 & 22, Frankenmuth Michigan

Unfortunately, not the dual OI panels. That was a great example from the last Morean auction...way more than I could afford. Really not sure on the scarcity of the variation though. Just glad to have an example of the can!

I already have an aluminum Drewrys can. This one is only different by the shape of its pull tab opening, which is not important to me. So if anybody is interested in acquiring it, contact me.

Added this from the recent Dan Morean auction.
I felt the final price was pretty reasonable so not all cans are
Hitting unrealistic prices IMO.

Ray, what is the story on the Canvention mirror?
That seems like an odd item for a Canvention.

@cantankerous
Dan, In all my years of collecting CANvention items, I had not seen that item before. My guess is it was made by a member that attended the CANv in Orlando, for his man cave.
I bought a bunch of CANv items from a California member. In the group was a different mirror (I passed on it), from the 49er Chapter presented to Gene Migliori in 1993. My guess is that was his mirror from 1985 (or later).
Since it fit into my collection, I just had to have it.

Finally got this in hand and was so pleases to see much of the crap on it could readily be cleaned off with minimal effort. Initial run at cleaning made a big difference in my mind! Still a bit more that can be done I believe. Any advice from the group?
