Re: New Acquisition Wednesday
Col. Peachtree's
They are El Rey's rolled inside out. I bought 1 from Dan Andrews for $1.00. Dan had picked up a couple of them and sent 1 to Chuck Foster to get re-rolled - when it got rerolled 90% of the paint flaked off!!! Wally Gilbert had some and kept trying to sell them to me. He finally got low enough on the price and I picked some up. Resold them to guys doing can repair work (tops) - think Art got my last one except for the one on my shelf I got from Dan. roy

Re: New Acquisition Wednesday
Roy, the two Colonel Peachtrees that I’ve had appeared to be rolled from blanks. I always check them out just in case. Good to know about the paint flaking!

They are blank under the paper label. The El Rey label is on the INSIDE of the can. Shine a light and see if you can see any remnants of the label. Sometimes it is hard to see it because the El Rey label has degraded badly. Every one I have ever checked was this way.

Re: New Acquisition Wednesday
My 22nd different autographed Olde Frothingslosh can has arrived.
I have been collecting autographed OF cans since 1976, when I got my first one signed at the CANvention.
In 1982 3 star cans were issued. I have all 3 signed by Marsha. In the second picture you can see the signed versions on the top row.
In 1983 3 more color versions of the star can were issued. This is the first autographed can from this trio that I have seen. Do you have any signed cans from this set? If so, I need to fill in the top row of the third picture.
Thanks, Baxter

Re: New Acquisition Wednesday
At the top of my want list for the last 3 years was to get a decent upgrade of the Jacob Ruppert Ale. Finally got it from Sunday's Good Guys auction and it arrived today. Now me happy.

But now you need to keep your old one as well, as it's clearly the rarely seen blue label version, .

@Tinman
Recently I exchanged a few PM's with Tinman regarding a mutual interest in the Labatt Steamliners. This week, I received the following cards in the mail. Thanks!

Re: New Acquisition Wednesday
Had some success with the Good Guys auction. Didn't get everything I wanted, but some of it went beyond what I wanted to pay. It's weird when you try to bid at the same time as about three other people and you wind up about $15 higher than you planned, although I didn't stay there more than a few seconds and someone else was high bidder. I think I did alright on these:
The Jax gold stripe and the Burgemeister Pilsener are flat tops, the Leinies are pull tabs, the other two Burgemeisters and the Jax w/blue ribbon are ring pulls. The center Burgemeister and the Jax w/blue ribbon have 'Aluminum' stamped on the tab. I hadn't seen that before. The Jax and the light face/brown haired Leinenkugel on the top row are upgrades
