The vast majority of west coast cans that entered the hobby until the last 15 years or so came from Hal (along with dumping buddies Fred Wolpe and Roy Nelson). Hal always went above and beyond to disperse their finds to the rest of the hobby at reasonable prices. One of Hal’s old price lists includes the designation: “Chief – $25”.
