Cleaned cans.

Gluek Stite is a new can. I’m very happy to find one and after some body work will be a great addition to the wall.

- Drewrys is an upgrade
-Goebel extra dry is IRTP and an upgrade
- National Bohemian is another can I’ve been after for years! New can for the shelf
- Goebel PS is Enamel and is a variation I need
- Altes in 2nd row is an upgrade
-3rd Frankenmuth from the left is an upgrade

Looks like I have both Metallic and OD Altes.

The "DOG GONE GOOD" are DOG GONE GREAT!!!!! I've never dug one that goog in all my years. Curiously, the best one I ever dug was north of Kalamazoo with Mr. Launt back in 1998 and it is about the condition of the 3rd from right.
"Although the cans will be of no value after opened, their cost is expected to be small..." Iowa: June 22, 1935

Why drive 12 hour one way to dig Pre-Tax Tru Blu ales, Genny 12 Horse Longopeners, Gamecock Ales, Apollos, Neuweilers Bock, and Krueger’s Baldies when you can locally drive 10 hours round trip and dig Pfeiffer, Goebel, Drewrys and Strohs?

Nice diggings! I have to say - the 2nd Frankenmuth cone from the left seems like the pick of the litter, but maybe big issues on the back side?

Very cool cans.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. It’s crazy because lots of the cans I’ve found so far this year were from dumps I’ve found while looking for campsites and trash pits.

Hey, @bantam10, good digging.

My dad went to college in Kalamazoo from '60 to '64, and Gluek Stite was the beer they drank when they weren't really tasting the beer anymore. I remember 40 years ago his looking at my first Gluek Stite shelver (that variety you have, right there) and saying he'd emptied more of them than he cared to remember. So it was definitely distributed in Western Michigan back in the day.

The beer they drank when they could afford something that tasted good was fire-brewed Stroh's.

Thanks! And awesome story. I can see a tax stamp on top so I know this particular can was sold here. I actually found this way up north. I’ve also found goetz 8oz cans here too.
