HUGE can blowout at BG

Post by MarkB » Wed Feb 05, 2020 10:27 am

Hi all. Just an FYI, I’ll be in one of the big dealer rooms, #418, at Blue-Gray this year with John Melnick. Between shelf cans I pulled in another thin-out of my collection I will also have a lot of cans from an early-BCCAer’s collection I bought. Right now, I have about 40 totes, plus, a lot of signs and trays, etc.

Some highlights.

My Krueger’s, from Baldies to early pulltabs. I have 12 oz, quarts, pints, and a few signs and trays.

Most of my Philadelphia-area cans: Esslingers, Gretz, F&S, plus Rams Heads and Valley Forge. 12 oz and quarts plus signs and trays.

1950s set cans: Rainiers, Drewrys, and others.

Ballantine's from the late 1930s and early 40s, including quarts, OIs, and, yes, bocks in 12 oz.

Multiple BIG dollar cans boxes of flats and early tabs. I could probably get $3 to $5 bucks each for a lot of them, but I’d rather sell them than carry them home. Bulk discounts available!

I will also have sports cans, lots of DC/VA micros, Harley Davidson cans, international cans including some tough flats, some of my Olive Drabs, etc.

There will be 2-3 cases of soda cans from dumper flats to 1970s cans, and a complete set of the 1976 Bicentennial 7-Up States/Uncle Sam set.

I’ll have copies of my Heurich Biography available to buy and sign.

Most of what I am bringing has not been on any of the RB Online shows, or at the Virginia shows I attend. I usually bring from 6 – 10 totes at most to a show so 40 or so is quite a doing.

I’ll be setting up Wednesday and I’ll be there every day of the show through Sunday am. I have morning classes so I will be going home after rush hour and returning before lunch each day. I’ll be there every evening except Thursday (work event at school). Of course, John will be there as well and will have his own good totes so it’ll be easy to find one of us in the room.

Of course, I also love to trade and will be looking for cans from these places: DC, Maryland, Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky. Plus, I collect Halloween cans, straight-steel Japanese, Sterling, some 50s sets, and a lot of micros from Dayton and DC.

See you in Room 418, Mark

I appreciate the PMs I have gotten asking about specific cans, but my totes are packed and ready to go and I do not have the time to go through 40 of them at the moment. I will try to look for specific cans during BG.
