Anyone have any info on this Blatz can? Says $5.00 in the tab book and we never owned one or even seen it before.

I would think that a levitating beer can would be worth a bunch

I've been watching out for that can also like many others, I think one was in an E-bay listing a couple months back with some other cans, if it was that can, it was quite dirty/off-grade but looked like it could clean up decently, not sure if the listing ever sold or not, it just disappeared one day while I was watching it.

Dan,

That label design looks like it could be missing that last color print from the litho run, leaving the 'white' as the base coat. Intentional, or unintentional, who knows? Unless someone has the litho color proofs, hard to say if the white was the intended design or just the result of the missing tan top print.

Maybe I'll see if I have an extra of the can below and get out the rubbing compound and see what happens...

I had an extensive tab collection and I never had this can, nor did I ever have a chance to get one. It could be a missing layer of paint, but the next generation Blatz design is all white. I believe it was one of the test designs or a short lived transition can.

Cool can!

Makes sense, very possible. Would like to see the seam on the can, should be an electro welded seam if a transition label.

The gold has been applied, just not to some areas. Here are my flattops- white ink phase #1 and gold #2, according to specks. I was thinking they got the sequence wrong but that would produce white over the dark brown areas. Looks intentional. Ziphippie
