My Swaparama take so far

#1

Post by keithker » Fri Jun 07, 2019 9:45 pm

So the weather held out for a great day at Swaparama.... Here is what I picked up so far...

The Colt 45 is from Miami.... I might already have it but didn't want to pass it up..The Schlitz is aluminum paper label like @Leon has. The Bud/Schlitz was a 1979 "Tampa salutes it's breweries" can. The Schlitz is an aluminum pull tab 1970 with a Florida stamp on the top. The Jax is a foil label test. The Black Label with the Florida stamp was a gift from Mr John Kottoman @Kotto The Natty Bo is from Orlando The Lone Star is the standard test can. The Michelob is from Houston and the Olympia @jinsequa was an odd ball that wasn't in the USBC book. It along with a few of these others were photographed by Mike Newton at the show to be added.

Those Aluminum Schlitz Malt Liqour's are Killer!! :smt023 ....I have both of those as well....I thought it's weird they made those Cans when the Steel Variations are more common.Schlitz must have been trying Aluminum Cans to see how they went over?

I figured these Two are kinda Tough?.....It's Cool to see other Examples!....It's good to know they really held Beer!
Collector of Wisconsin Cans.Looking for Pabst Bock Zip from Milwaukee.Milwaukee Valley,Rib Mountian and any Gettelman Picnic Series Cans in Grade 2/2- that held Beer.

So..if the Bud/Schlitz is two sides and not a half rub out...what beer did the consumer actually get? 😂
We may never know.

I potentially polluted the supplement with ugly Stag cans ...
also , getting cans photographed was fast and easy .

@Summitcan Thanks so much for bringing those Stag cans in and allowing time for the Product Development team (namely Mike Newton) to get the images added. Mike Newton doesn't frequent the forum enough but wanted to pass along his gratitude.......

Any support to getting cans added to the USBC Supplement is always fantastic.......
