New Pineapple Cone Top

#1

Post by dtsoc »

In the past few years, you can count the number of new soda cone finds on one, maybe two hands. The 12 oz Mission cones were the last really unknown generation find. I picked up this previously unknown C & C 6oz Pineapple cone for under $7, including shipping! This was a previously unknown flavor in the 6 oz cans... It is soaking right now - not sure it will clean up much, but it is the real thing! Anyone ever seen or heard of another?
It's id is: c20-c1pi-1pz
c20 is the brand, c1 is the generation tag (c is for cone top), pi is the flavor and the new tag -1pz is the find # and the zip vs prezip identification
Note: the generation tags have not been renumbered yet to match the actual date sequence. These numbers really represent the order in which they were first identified in the early days of the hobby.

Interesting, one of a kind for under $7.00, try doing that with a beer can. Congratulations. I'm sure there is other flavors of many other cans waiting to pop up. Sure like to find a unknown mid 50's FAYGO flat in unknown flavor  LEON.

Nice find Dave!

I'm curious...which Mission cones were you referring to in your posting? Are they ones that match the quarts, or the ones that most closely resemble the flat tops?
