Going through one of my Google searches, I came across a page announcing that the BCCA is on Wiki. Here's a link:

And here's a PDF version of the info at that link:

Re: BCCA On Wikipedia!
@Rand
Or at least until 2003 when the name change occurred. Now it caters to all types of Breweriana. I thought the page was composed and presented in a way that touched every aspect of the Hobby and the Organization. It is a nice summary.
The plus side is, now that the topic is established, they can always edit and include links (subordinate to the main page) that can highlight topics like the Chapters, the Magazine, the Supplements and specific Breweriana (maybe even Can'ts someday).
I think it is a good move!

Re: BCCA On Wikipedia!
It was a team effort but Pat Porter and Charlie Smith did all the heavy lifting. Big thanks goes out to them.

Re: BCCA On Wikipedia!
No.....BCCA is an organization, as characterized by the wikipedia page....lots of discussion on chapters, history, organization, officers, etc etc etc. Would be nice to have a page about collecting....you know....sizes, types, eras, dumping, mailing lists, 70s boom, auctions, dealers, ebay, interests by states/upsidedown/cants/OI/conetops/currents/lid types/etc etc etc etc etc etc. That is NOT BCCA. That happens by BCCA members quite often but not exclusively.
To be fair, I tried to do it at one time, but couldn't figure out how to get going in Wikipedia. Clearly it's not an impossible task, just wasn't as easy as I thought and I back-burnered it.
Yes....the BCCA page is excellent.....great stuff....not trying to "dis" it......I refer you back to my original observation that it's interesting that there's not a collecting page.

Re: BCCA On Wikipedia!
I checked out the page and be sure to check out some of the references to articles at the bottom. There are some interesting articles featuring collectors.

Re: BCCA On Wikipedia!
@Rand We (the BCCA) were lucky enough to have a certified Wiki person (Pat Porter) in our midst. He really knew how to get through the process in a fairly timely fashion.Rand wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2020 3:29 pmNo.....BCCA is an organization, as characterized by the wikipedia page....lots of discussion on chapters, history, organization, officers, etc etc etc.
