1960’s Time Capsule!
Just picked up these cans and bottles yesterday. I was tol that they were pulled off of some rafters above a drop ceiling in Grafton MA years ago. Check out the picture of the can that still had lipstick on it! A bunch if the can’s have their original tabs inside the can’s and some of the bottles have their original caps. Almost all cans are fan tabs; Genny ‘black letters’ is only zip; Munich’s only flats. I’m only going to keep one of the Piel’s Draft Ales, one of the Narry Ales (upgrade), probably the Gabbys (NY unlisted) and one of the Old Milwaukee’s. PM if you’re interested in any before they go to the Bay.

A really interesting mix of brands there. College kids? Travelers? Interesting find - thanks for sharing.

Re: 1960’s Time Capsule!
Gabby was made by Forrest Brewing NY. This variation is different than one in book. Book variation is a darker brown can and has a ‘dot’ in between “N.Y.” and “Contents” on mandatory. Obviously, I’ve got way too much time on my hands!kb wrote: ↑Sat Mar 28, 2020 10:03 am pretty neat... i have a few Genny Naturally cans layin around- all my zips are BEER in Black, and i have a BEER in white flat with FLA tax stamp, donthave fan tab , and then regular ring tab are all BEER in white.. as kids we thought the Gablinger cans were so cool, who made yours - Ruppert??

The Liebmann / Rheingold brewery was on Forrest Street in Brooklyn, hence the name Forrest Brewing Company.
The Piels Draft Ales are awesome. Nice score!

Re: 1960’s Time Capsule!
Nice group of Canadian stuff although not overly tough stuff, about the most desirable item would be the crown on the Dow bottle if you can find someone looking for that crown to build a set. It is one of a set of 85 depicting all the pavilions at Expo 67 in Montreal.

Re: 1960’s Time Capsule!
I remember those Dow caps. They were all over the gutters when we went to Canada in 69 and visited Expo 67. I picked up about 200 of them and my mom made me throw them all away. She kept saying nobody collect trash
