How has the coronavirus impacted your work schedule?

We already know how the coronavirus has impacted your social schedule. No can shows! I am interested in knowing how the coronavirus has impacted your work schedule. This is my first time I have done a poll, so hopefully, it works.

Athens has be put under a mandatory shelter-in-place order. We have 8 confirmed cases here which means that there are probably a lot more people infected. I was one of the few still going into work in my office until Wednesday when I was ordered to work from home. So for the time being, here I am.

We are strongly encouraged to work form home if possible. We need one person per day to go into allow others to access some unique equipment in my office.

I manage a team of about 185 individuals who are slugging it out in chain grocery stores from New Jersey to Boston. We are selling incredible amounts of product into stores as our 'distributed' specialty kosher and ethnic food categories are picking up when the wholesale name brand stuff is sold through. Unprecedented situation - and we are just doing our best to help. Personally, our office is closed but I live close and will be in the office off and on. Mostly doing what I need to do from home.... Our truck drivers, warehouse team and the sales team in the stores are still working as close to normal as possible....

My school (Eastern CT State University) has cancelled all classes on campus and gone online for the remainder of the semester. Teaching online definitely has a bit of a learning curve and I'm spending a lot of time getting things ready this week, which was supposed to be Spring Break for us. I think things will settle down a lot once we have the first week or so worked out.

I hold two jobs. Both wide open for now. Just need to steer clear of others and keep myself from getting sick. Getting funny looks when I go to dollar general and pull out my gloves and spray bottle alcohol to run my bank card. Lol.

Started running my watch repair business from home in January. Happy I did since I don't have random people wandering in the shop anymore. Business has been slow, but I'm more than ready to ride this out.

I have a Home Inspection business. People are still buying houses down here is Florida, and thankfully I'm still busy. It does seem to be slowing down, but I'm almost fully booked a week out. I take precautions when I'm in a home. I have disinfectant wipes, hand sanitizer, stay away from people as best I can, and try not to touch my face. I also have gloves and a really good face mask if I need them. But really I prefer if the home is empty and no one shows up to the inspection. If things do get really slow, there is no CV19 on my boat. So I'll practice social distancing on the water. Pretty sure the fish don't have CV19.

All of engineering is working from home but our technicians and mechanics were still reporting for a full week of work until this past Friday. The first Covid fatality in Michigan was a gentlemen who worked in my building sooooo.....as of yesterday we are now completely shutdown. Our building is the 2nd largest building in the world (after the Pentagon) and we normally have just under 17,000 people walking through the doors everyday.......too many chances for the wrong kind of interaction.

You haven't seen me at the office this year, have you? I've been out on launch support since the beginning of the year, and have worked about 375 hours of overtime in that time. The company closed the plant yesterday, so I'm back on 40 hours (from home) for now.

All the schools in Michigan are closed but the kids are supposed to be working on things from home. The superintendent said nothing they do at home will be graded - in case some kids do not have online access. My 11th grade daughter was sent home with SAT prep materials. If she has any questions, she can contact her teachers. I guess the teachers are not really busy but I assume they are getting some questions from students.

Work has not changed for me yet. I am an electrician that currently jumps from a Kroger dairy and a local(Guernsey) dairy. These operations are running production on days that they normally shut down. Sales are up 48 percent there. Just a matter of time before non-essential people(me) will be sent home for a few weeks minimum.

We're retired, the town is closed down, so I'm trapped here at the house with the "honey do" list.

I'm an RN. I could work 24/7 right now. I don't. My wife is rightfully concerned that I will bring Covid 19 home to the family (notice I did not say that she is worried about me getting sick 😂). I would willingly work more. So we have settled on one extra shift a week. I work 12 hour shifts so 36 hours weekly has become 48.

Exactly what happened to me this week. We sell children's books through schools, which becomes difficult when all schools nationwide are closed indefinitely.

Darn. I had to change my vote. All hourly people laid off as of close of business today. Salaried people (me) work until Friday. I guess it's time to figure out how to apply for unemployment. Despite this, I really can't complain. My family is healthy and my wife's job is 100% secure (she works in a hospital). We still have much to be thankful for.

I have split the time with my associate architect - so about 60% in the office and 40% at home. We have three large construction projects underway at the University including a residence hall and I have to cover construction site inspections on behalf of the University as well as answer design side issues. Denver just issued a stay at home order, but I am exempted according to our legal folks. So I answered "still going to work" but technically I am also work from home quite a bit.

I'm a Licenced Psychotherapist. Office closed down Saturday so I set up impromptu shop at a local Disc Golf Course and am seeing people that don't want to do video sessions in the Gazebo that has a comfortable picnic table. Depression and marital problems by moonlight.
