I've never seen one of these before. Do y'all think it's real? The seller is new to ebay with no history.

question is, why is this not more valuable than the can. Graphics are better. From a rarity standpoint it's over the top. Condition is top shelf where mamma keeps the cookies. But at $165 still nobody has grabbed it.

One should question if this is the first of many the seller has before dropping some serious coin. Maybe the guy got a ton of NOS holders and we'll be seeing one a week for quite some time to come. It would also be interesting to know if they were all the same or if there were multiple designs to coincide with the cans. If more hit the market that question might be answered. Very cool item though.

@Scott I think hit the nail on the head. The guy is also selling 2 other brand NOS holders so I would guess he has multiple of each.

AND... the same seller sold another 007 box, same girls, for $53.77 a week ago.

Description doesn't say it's just the box. How crazy would it be if you bought one and opened it to find six cans inside.

Could happen!!

It looks suspicious to me but both auctions went for relatively small amounts so I can easily see someone taking a chance. Even the 007 stuff that is known to be a reproduction sells.
Focus: Cones and flats from Michigan, South Bend, and Fort Wayne. Foreign cans only if I bought them myself in the country of origin.

I made an offer of $100 for it and received a response about an hour later that it wasn't accepted and then the listing ended immediately. Kind of odd if you ask me unless someone did the buy it now.

According to the BCCA's United States beer cans book vol. 2 the 007 beer came out in 1968. There were 2 sets, the first set was numbered 594-600 and the second set was numbered 635-641 and also had a narrow white band around the label.

I didn't until you pointed it out to me. The color also seemed off on the one on ebay too.

I am leaning toward Repo carton. I looked at my sets and none have NB 605 Plus the carton colors are too bright and are off. The CCC is missing. So 3 reasons right there. Plus Richard Keil JAWS and Lois Chiles Dr. Holly Goodhead are not BIG fans of fakes.

Plus there is another one listed on EBAY right now and there is a blemish on the girl's face for the one earlier sold and the same blemish on the face for the one for sale now. It looks to be mass-produced by the seller.

I am standing down.

It is likely a reproduction. However, the authentic carton in this post also has "NB-605". Would National have numbered carton designs?
