Esslinger’s Bock Patents Pending

Here is my can of the show from this past weekends Sandhills can/Breweriana show hosted by Jim Romine and the Hugger Mugger brewery in Sanford NC. The ultra tough large “Keglined”, Patents Pending Esslinger’s Bock OI!!

According to the OI book/supplement, my example brings the total known of this variation to a whopping 3!! Of course, I’m sure there are others out there as well, but no doubt it is significantly tougher than the standard small “Keglined” Others Pending variation. Could very well be the toughest OI to grace my shelves!

I only knew right away that it was an Esslinger Bock with a price tag that fell very nicely into my budget! Didn’t even go there with the intent of picking up anything as I’m still in “liquidation mode” on a lot of stuff. Couldn’t believe when I saw it, and the fact that apparently “a lot of guys had already looked at it” according to the gentleman that had it. Only noticed it was the Patents Pending version about 3 hours later, when I was showing it to someone at the show!!

I guess that’s one good thing about not really having a “wheelhouse” of stuff I collect.

Just looking for cool labels I like! They don’t get much cooler or rarer than this!! I only came home with 3 new cans and already had one of those. Was hoping for a minor variation or at least an upgrade, but struck out in both regards there
