Re: 10oz Tab Top Can Composite...Updated
Thanks for the all input.
I just realized that when I edited a previous post to combine everything into post 21, I got rid of the image showing 10oz cans in the Current Cans Supplement. Those are cans I would not be including in this composite.
For those cans that have been offered so far, if you have any additional details such as years, or dots over cities, etc. Send them along. The more info the more useful the Composite can be. So check the Excel file to see if you can provide any additional info. Thanks.
When I update everything, I will just edit post #21 rather than creating a new post. Everyone OK with that?

Do the cans from the Puerto Rico breweries qualify as part of the composite?

@Mark (expired)
Good question!
My limited understanding of the 10oz cans is that those in the Supplements are the ones made and filled in US by domestic brands for exportation to Puerto Rico.
I did come across that Craft Beer and Brewpubs are in Puerto Rico like everywhere else. I also saw that one brand, Medalla is being imported and sold both in Florida and Connecticut so that brand should either be listed as Foreign or put into the Current Cans Supplement.
So, I'll go out on a limb and say that cans FROM Puerto Rico should not be included in this database.

Re: 10oz Tab Top Can Composite...Updated
I Think the cans in the supplement should be left included, why? I don't have easy access to the supplement or know what's in the supplement. since you did the work for me it's easy to see what's in the supplement. Also, if you don't include them then you gotta change the name of this post title to 10oz. Tab Top Cans Composite not included in Supplement. LEON.

Re: 10oz Tab Top Can Composite...Updated
Not trying to get folks riled up, just curious how borders are "drawn". Puerto Rico is an Unincorporated and Organized United States Territory. Hawaii was an Organized Incorporated Territory of the U.S. from April 30, 1900 until August 21, 1959 - the Primo foil label cans date from October of 1958. Meanwhile the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (which does have a micro brewery located on Saipan) and the United States Virgin Islands (breweries on St. Croix, St. John, and St. Thomas) also have the status of Unincorporated and Organized United States Territories.

hmmm, So I think maybe you are saying Puerto Rico should be considered part of USA just like Hawaii & Alaska are now but at one time long ago was not. Possible. LEON.

Re: 10oz Tab Top Can Composite...Updated
As to the Puerto Rico thing, personally, I save them but I don't chase them. I want sold in the USA. If you want American brands sold in Puerto Rico, I have a couple more I can add to this.
And I want to say thank you for compiling this list. I am happy to find someone else who cares about ten ounce cans.

Re: 10oz Tab Top Can Composite...Updated
@Leon
I respect your opinion and will combine the listed Supplement cans with the newly listed Supplement cans into one file and one image. It will be in Post #21. https://www.therustybunch.com/phpBB3/vi ... 60#p402560
I will keep the unlisted 10oz cans separate as we're at 30+ now.
Here’s my thinking on these 10oz Composites.
Flats Supplement – from the first Flat Top produced (1935) until the last one produced (19??).
Flat 10oz Composite was easy. Found Thirty-Six (36) 10oz cans throughout the entire Flats Supplement. Six (6) of those are new additions. Easy Excel file and easy image. No one posted any additional cans that I’m aware of or were pointed out as such.
Tabs Supplement – From the first Tab Top produced (1963) right through and including Stay Tabs
Tab 10oz Composite was little more complicated with the posting of cans not listed. The Supplement has Seventy-Nine (79) 10oz cans, Fifteen (15) of them being new. I am revising the Tabs 10oz Composite image to include the original as well as the new additions.
Because more than 30+ cans have been posted. I decided to separate them from the Supplement listed cans. That makes it easier to identify which ones could be added to the Supplement eventually.
Current Cans Supplement – Oldest can entered in the Database is a 1999 5 Liter. That's the only can that is pre-2000. So anything produced from 2000 until the current day belongs in that database. My Opinion.
Puerto Rico Produced Cans – I have no problem including them as long as they were produced between 1935 and 1999. I base this on the fact that the Flats Supplement includes four cans apparently made in Puerto Rico. After 1999, they belong in the Current Cans Supplement. Again, my opinion.

This Composite has been a tough one. With three separate 10oz related threads going, I’ve struggled to keep up.
I think I’m caught up now. In this post, I’m putting up the latest images of 10oz tabs, both listed and not listed in the Supplements. The Excel file and the PDF are updated accordingly.
I ask that those who contributed images please find your image and review it in the file(s). Please check that I’ve got the correct info for that picture and if anything is missing, please supply it. If something’s too generic, add as much detail as you want. (Those cells expand.) Also, If you feel the need to update an image, you're welcome to do it.
I could only get so much info from the pictures or from what was originally provided. The Composite can only be as good as the info in it.
And for anyone that cares, some cans from Puerto Rico are included in the list(s).
Thanks.

Thanks, Kurt. Hey! Crappy is better than none. Proves it's existence.
Do you have the Lite 10oz with the Miller on the stalks? Is that one traceable to the original 12oz with the Miller on the stalks? Or is it tied to the retro one released years later?

I didn’t really know where to post the 10oz. MGD from PR, so here ‘tis. Ziphippie

Re: 10oz Tab Top Can Composite...Updated
@Wisbeers
Thanks for your input. Looking at the white and gold Miller cans, I'm guessing that they're (2 094 12 0) and (2 094 15 0) respectively and already in the Supplement. Please check and if yours are different, I'll be glad to add them to the Not In Supplement list. The Schlitz is definitely not in the Supplement so it will be added.
Here's a link to that last update I did. Will work on new one when time permits.
