My Monticello Extravaganza Take So Far
Made it bright and early to the Monticello Extravaganza show earlier today. Stopped at a few antique stores along the way. Richbrau beer flat. Gunthers salt/pepper shakers and the National and American Can company cans are from the antique stores. Everything else came for a collection Angry Gary was selling. Embassy Club is from Norfolk. Can't wait to see what else shows up at this great show.....

Like the Tru Blu Ale Keith! Have a great show, wish I could be there!
Always looking for West Virginia breweriana from Fesenmeier and Parkersburg.

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.

Flats, cones & early tabs. Ohio cans, ultra clean cans & shine. East coast cans. Rare rust. And, whatever else catches my eye.

That's a cool Button Down can! I don't think I've seen that version before....usually see the blue version.

Re: Monticello Extravaganza My Take
Here are most of my pick ups from the show including the metallic Pabst Old Tankard Keith alludes to above. Super happy with the Olde VA cone. Several gave passed thru my hands over the years, but none with all the gold trim untarnished. Living 30 miles from Roanoke makes this one a geographical favorite. Love all the retro cans, so was happy to pick up the 4 Genny cans! The Valley Forge Bock O/I and All Star are nice upgrades. The low pro ABC is new for the shelf.
And of course what can I say about the metallic Pabst Old Tankard-Obviously my can of the show!! Never thought this can would grace my shelf!
Super show as always and I highly recommend it if you can fit it into your schedule!

Re: Monticello Extravaganza My Take
I'll echo the comments...great show at the first-time venue. Hotel fit the bill all around and we even were able to continue our traditional beercan bowling. Great job by Chris Eib (again) to secure the hotel and everything he and Keith K did to make it a great show. Here's my take. My can of the show is the gold Richbrau. It came to me from a good friend who we recently lost. She'll be missed at our Chapter meetings. Thanks to Angry Gary for saving the can for me. Great seeing everyone. Looking forward to next year.
