Fantastic, but...The book is incorrect, The beginning of the video and the front of the plane says "The Flying Brewer".

Beat my head against that for the past hour, and can't find any better pointer. The 391N/391U is about as close as it comes....and it has the advantage of being a Purdue operated plane which maps to the earlier article. Assuming it's that one, no reported accidents or interesting historical notes!
